Captain's Message

Welcome to the Lochwinnoch Golf Club website.

It is great to finally say goodbye to the winter months and look forward to many pars, birdies and, for some of you, even eagles in the new season.

The course has stood up remarkably well during the awful wet winter we have had and I have no doubt that Alastair and his staff will have it in its usual pristine condition early in the new season.

Off the course I’m pleased to say the usual very high standards of entertainment and hospitality are on offer again this year and I look forward to welcoming many visitors and new members to our club.

As always, if we are not getting things right please tell us, if we are then please tell others!

On a personal note it is again a great honour and privilege to have been asked to stay on as captain for the coming year and may I finish off by wishing you happy golfing and I look forward to meeting with you either on the course or at one of the many functions being held throughout the season.

Welcome to our site...

Lochwinnoch Golf Club is situated in the rolling Renfrewshire countryside. A golfing challenge to those of all levels. The course is situated just a few miles west of Glasgow Airport and in easy reach of some of the worlds finest Golf Courses - Royal Troon, Loch Lomond & Gleneagles to name but a few.

Visitors are welcome all year round and very competitive Membership Offers are often available.

Hendry Bros. Member & Guest - Saturday 28th June 2008

In a revamp to last years Scramble Challenge Hendry Bros. of Beith are sposoring a 4 Ball Better Ball Member & Guest Competition. With prizes for the top 3 teams including a round for 4 at Turnberry, there will also be team prizes at every hole.

Celeb Am - Big Hearted Scotland

September 2007 saw the first Lochwinnoch Golf Club Celeb Am in association with Big Hearted Scotland.

As a result £3500 was raised for the charity. A great effort by everyone involved.

Club Championship Finals Day

The finals of the club Championships took place June 17th 2007.

The day saw Gavin MacFadyen crowned LGC Club Champion for the fourth time. Gavin's last success was in 2000. Gavin was joined on the day by Runner-up Jonathan Gilmour who was playing in his first final. The winning score on the day was 4 and 3 and the event was played over 36 holes.

Club Championship 2007 Matchplay Draw & Results

The Seniors title was claimed by Gavin Pratt who piped Archie Simpson narrowly beating him 4 and 3.

The Junior winner was Junior Gordon Reilly beat Billy Lunney 8 & 7 over 36 holes.

The Ladies Winner for the sixth time was Lesley Dolan who pipped Lesley Whitelaw to the title.

The Club Strokeplay Champion was decided on Saturday June 2nd. This was won for a Third time by Scott Sheridan (2) with a 36 Hole Aggregate Score of 140.
